- By investigating global dis:connections, we are inaugurating a new field of research. It emphasises the role of delays and detours, of interruptions and resistances, of the active absence of connections in global contexts and investigates their social significance.

They research dis:connectivity on site and in close contact with the directors and their peers. Fellows also have the opportunity to host workshops on the topics of their research.

Burcu Dogramaci on challenges for art history

On 24 September, Burcu Dogramaci, art historian and one of the Kolleg’s directors, gave a keynote lecture at the conference “Crossing Borders. Migration and the Visual Arts in Denmark” at the Royal Danish Academy of Science and Letters in Copenhagen. The keynote „Beyond Boundaries: Migration as a Challenge to Art History” discussed the challenge of bringing dislocation and (art)history together.
